We are delighted that massage therapist, Lisa Sutherland is joining us on the retreat. Lisa does the most amazing Lomi-lomi style massages, which may be described as a dance over the body, incorporating soft and deep tissue massage with fluent, long flowing strokes.

About Cathy
A keen sportswoman all her life, Cathy was introduced to ashtanga yoga in 1995. She fell in love with it immediately, and from that moment on she has never looked back. Her love and passion for the practice shines through in her teaching style, which is both enthusiastic and encouraging.
She always manages to inspire students and guide them through the ashtanga sequence in a warm and friendly way and her classes are always fun.
She runs BAYoga Studio in Berkhamsted, Herts.

About Clare
Clare started teaching in 2010 and originally trained in the Sivananda yoga tradition, doing her teacher training in an ashram in the Indian Himalayas. She taught in London at various studios including at the Sivananda Centre in Putney and loves the bhakti (devotional) side of yoga. Clare completed a 500 hour training with Ashtanga and Iyengar teacher Michel Besnard in Thailand in 2012. Since her return, she has taught yin yoga across Hertfordshire.

Clare studies yin yoga in London with Norman Blair and she enjoys how yin provides the opportunity to surrender and release, whilst ashtanga builds heat and strength in her body.

She teaches workshops and weekly classes at BAYoga Studio. For more information about Clare, visit

"I love the fact that I arrive dead on my feet after a long day at work. After a wonderful ashtanga work out with Cathy I feel alive, fit and wonderfully calm. Her teaching is simply the best."   Tony

"Yoga with Clare is as much about the mindfulness of yoga as the poses. She is a very patient yet enthusiastic teacher, encouraging her pupils to deepen their practice and confidence within a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I always leave feeling calm, re-focused and re-energized."
