Benefits of yoga
- Get strong, toned, flexible
- Stand taller, breathe better
- Be calmer, more focused
is a dynamic and physically demanding style of yoga where movement is synchronised with breath, linking a set sequence of poses in a constant flow. This creates a detoxifying heat (be prepared to sweat) and has the effect of stilling the mind and creating a feeling of calm focus. Increased strength and flexibility along with a reduction in feelings of stress, are some of the many benefits of this powerful practice.
Gentle and Therapeutic yoga
Practise breathing and relaxation techniques combined with the gentle movement of yoga postures. The classes are gentle and are designed for relaxation, de–stressing and gentle stretching. It is not a strong physical workout and is very suitable for beginners or for those who do not want a strong class. Improves your flexibility, sense of calm and energy levels.
Hatha Vinyasa Yoga
is a faster paced form of yoga. Instead of performing individual exercises on the mat, with pauses in between, the asana are linked together in synchronization with the in-flow and out-flow of breath. This produces a very dynamic effect, and it allows heat to build up in the body. An increased body temperature helps loosen the muscles and people find they can go deeper into a stretch than if they were doing the posture in a more traditional way.
Iyengar yoga is
precise posture (asana) and breathing (pranayama) techniques with a firm philosophical base in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
The system of teaching is methodical and progressive, emphasising detailed correctness and absolute safety. When necessary, it uses supports called 'props' that allow students to progress in their practice of postures safely at their own pace, to suit their body. Beginners work in a basic way on simple postures according to their capabilities. As they develop they then move on to more refined ways of working as well as to more complex postures.

During these wonderfully relaxing meditation classes you will lie down and be guided through enchanting visualisations. Susan also incorporates reflexology and reiki during the meditations in order to deepen the relaxation experience.
Meditation can also help develop your yoga practice, enhancing the connection between your body and mind and encouraging you to be present during your practice, rather than carried away with thoughts.
